Applications for SKYnext event, hosted by Skyline Attractions, now open

Orlando, FL — Skyline Attractions is excited to announce the opening of applications for its 2024 SKYnext event, set to take place on September 13-14 at the IAAPA World Headquarters in Orlando, Florida. The event, sponsored by industry leaders IAAPA, Amusement Today, and Vekoma, is created for aspiring engineers, managers, and other future leaders in the themed entertainment industry.

“We’re thrilled to bring SKYnext back to Orlando this September,” said Skyline Attractions Design Engineer Tyler Mullins. “SKYnext provides a phenomenal platform for emerging talent to connect with industry professionals, gain valuable insights, and forge lasting connections that can shape their careers. I attended SKYnext myself as a college student, and I’m so happy to see the event continue to benefit future theme park professionals.”

One of the key highlights of SKYnext is the lineup of esteemed speakers from across the theme park industry. Speakers confirmed for SKYnext 2024 include Jerry Brick (Director of Construction and Maintenance at Palace Entertainment), Dionté Henderson (Senior Manager, Ride & Show Engineering at Universal Creative), Anna and Allen Messick (Project Managers/Superintendent at Northwest Coasters), Michael Shelton, ICAE (Vice President and Executive Director, IAAPA North America), and Anya Tyler (Project Manager at CAVU Designwerks).

Past SKYnext events have also included behind-the-scenes tours of local attractions, including the construction of Mako and Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando and Mine Blower at Fun Spot America. Additional details on offerings at SKYnext 2024 will be released soon.

Applications for SKYnext are now open and will close at the end of the day on Monday, July 15. Anyone aspiring to work in the theme park industry that showcases a can-do attitude and dedication to learning and growth is encouraged to apply. Due to space limitations, the event can only accommodate a limited number of applicants. All applicants will be notified of their application status within one week of the deadline.
