Central Bohemia, Czechia – The team at Skyline Attractions and Great Coasters International, Inc. are bringing Czechia its first wooden roller coaster, set to debut at Park Mirakulum in Central Bohemia. The yet-to-be-named roller coaster represents one of the latest milestones in the long-standing collaboration between Skyline and GCII, combining Skyline’s design and engineering expertise with GCII’s decades of experience delivering world-class wooden roller coasters.
Park Mirakulum’s new signature attraction will traverse 3,335 feet (1,016.5 m) of track and reach a height of 107 feet (32.6 m). The coaster will feature a traditional wooden support structure paired with classic wooden track construction. Guests will ride aboard GCII’s new Infinity Flyer trains, known for their articulated design and ability to navigate dynamic layouts and now with second generation improvements.
The team at Skyline Attractions led the ride’s layout development and engineering. The layout emphasizes sustained speed, rapid directional transitions, and forceful banking maneuvers, creating a thrilling progression of elements from the run-to-lift through the final brake run.
“The goal with the design was to provide a unique headlining attraction that would be fun for both families and thrill-seekers alike,” said Dustin Sloane, Director of Creative Processes at Skyline Attractions. “We wanted to take everything GCII rides are known for and bring it to the next level with a fast, twisted, and airtime filled layout. This compact layout even includes an underground tunnel which the train navigates twice, once right out of the station and again as a grand finale, ensuring maximum fun from start to finish.”
The tunnel is approximately 15 feet (4.7 meters) deep and spans a cumulative 258 feet (78.5 m).
Skyline Attractions’ role in the project expands beyond designing the ride’s layout and also includes final centerline design, structural design, fabrication and installation drawings, mechanical component integration, technical documentation, and third-party review compliance.
Upon opening, the coaster will stand as a landmark attraction for Park Mirakulum and a historic first for the Czech Republic’s amusement industry.
