Orlando, FL, USA – SKYnext, Skyline Attractions’ annual event for aspiring theme park industry professionals, is set to make a return this year on September 22 and 23 in Orlando, Florida. Following a hiatus since 2018, the event promises to be bigger and better than ever before with behind-the-scenes tours, exclusive speakers, and networking opportunities. SKYnext is the brainchild of Skyline Attractions, an Orlando-based amusement ride design and manufacturing firm with a portfolio of attractions around the globe.
“We are thrilled to bring back SKYnext, an event that has proven to be a game-changer for aspiring theme park professionals. The past events were resounding successes, providing students with invaluable networking opportunities and allowing them to hear from a diverse range of industry professionals,” Skyline President Jeff Pike said. “We are proud to see many past SKYnext attendees flourishing in the theme park industry, with several making notable contributions right here at Skyline Attractions.”
One of the key highlights of SKYnext is the lineup of esteemed speakers from across the theme park industry. In the past, representatives from industry giants such as Universal, Disney, RMC, IAAPA, TEA, Ride Entertainment, and SeaWorld have graced the event with their insights and expertise. Attendees can expect a similar caliber of speakers this year, promising enlightening discussions and valuable industry perspectives.
Throughout its previous iterations from 2015 to 2018, SKYnext also offered hundreds of young industry professionals the privilege of going behind-the-scenes and visiting the construction sites for iconic attractions such as Mako and Infinity Falls at SeaWorld Orlando, The Wheel at ICON Park, and Mine Blower at Fun Spot America in Kissimmee.
Moreover, SKYnext places great emphasis on facilitating networking opportunities. Young professionals, including college students and recent graduates, will have the chance to connect with their peers as well as representatives from various amusement industry companies present at the event.
Applications for SKYnext are now open and will close at the end of the day on Monday, July 17. Anyone aspiring to work in the theme park industry that showcases a can-do attitude and dedication to learning and growth is encouraged to apply. Due to space limitations, the event can only accommodate a limited number of applicants. All applicants will be notified of their application status within one week of the deadline.
Registration for SKYnext is priced at $75 per individual and includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on each day of the event. Travel and lodging arrangements are not included.
